In short: our tools work on your device, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t use tracking cookies.
Files you use in our tools
The image, photo, signature, PDF, text and developer tools on shailstack.com run entirely in your web browser. The files and text you add are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers. When you close the page, they are gone.
The AI Visibility Checker
When you check a web address, our server fetches that public page and its public files (robots.txt, llms.txt and the sitemap) so your browser can analyse them. We don’t store the address you check or the results. To prevent abuse, the server keeps a short-lived counter based on an anonymised (hashed) form of your IP address, which is deleted automatically after about 10 minutes.
Information our hosting collects
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — to keep the site secure and working. These logs are not used to identify you or for advertising.
Cookies and local storage
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Our popup script notes in your browser’s session storage that a popup has already been shown, so it doesn’t appear again during your visit. This never leaves your device and is cleared when you close the tab.
Contacting us
If you email us or use the enquiry form (which opens your own email app), we receive what you send — usually your name, email address and message — and use it only to reply to you and provide the service you asked about. We don’t sell or share it.
Third-party services
Our pages load fonts and icons from Google Fonts and our CSS library from cdn.shailstack.com. Like any website request, these services can see your IP address. Links to other websites are covered by those websites’ own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
If we add services such as analytics or advertising, we will update this page before they go live and change the date at the top.
