Find out if ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Claude can reach, read and quote your page — and get a step-by-step fix list for every issue.
Enter the address of any page — your home page, a service page or a blog post.
We load the page the way AI crawlers do: raw HTML without JavaScript, plus robots.txt, llms.txt, your sitemap and how your server answers GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot.
Get a score out of 100 across six areas, with every issue explained.
Fix the red and orange items first — most come with ready-to-paste code.
It’s how easily AI assistants — ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Copilot — can find your pages, understand them and quote or recommend them in their answers. Optimising for this is often called Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) or AI SEO.
First make sure AI search crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot, Googlebot, Bingbot) are allowed and your content is in the HTML. Then make pages easy to quote: a direct answer at the top, question-style headings, facts and figures, clear authorship, structured data and fresh dates. This checker tests all of these.
No — nobody can promise that, because AI companies don’t publish exactly how they pick sources. The checker tests the signals that are known to matter: whether AI can reach and read your page, and whether the content is structured to be quoted.
It depends. Training crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, CCBot) collect content to train models — blocking them is a business choice. Search crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot) decide whether you can appear and be linked in AI answers — blocking them costs you visibility and traffic.
Many firewalls and CDNs — Cloudflare, Sucuri, Wordfence and some hosts — now block AI crawlers by default, regardless of robots.txt. Check your CDN’s bot settings. Some firewalls also verify that a bot comes from its company’s IP addresses, which our test can’t imitate, so treat that result as “check your settings”.
It’s optional. llms.txt is a proposed standard that gives AI tools a clean list of your best pages. Some AI tools and agents read it; Google has said it doesn’t use it. It’s quick to create, so it’s a cheap extra.
Most AI crawlers, including GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, read the raw HTML and don’t run JavaScript. If your text is loaded by JavaScript (common with React, Vue and some page builders), those crawlers see an empty page. Use server-side rendering or prerendering.
